News- Officers Make Prostitution Bust at Tokyo Rose

The above happened earlier this month in a suburb North of Dallas,TX.

I am curious your thoughts, opinions, experiences on the massage parlor business.

In the Dallas area in particular certain areas of town where liquor stores and strip clubs prevail so do Massage parlors. That being known, I dont feel that a Massage parlor in this area is in fact all that the name implies, can you say 'happy ending?'. I have not partaken, but friends/coworkers etc have. For me the RISK far outweighs the reward since I live in the area. If maybe I am out-of-state or more likely out of the country,maybe.

Although, I have had one(1)massage in my life and it was done at an uppity resort/spa that I didnt have to pay for. The massage was performed by a cute young woman who was definitely not interested in anything more than getting to the next person on the list. ie no happy ending there.

Anyhow, my question is, what would you expect if you walked in to a massage parlor in a strip mall? would your expectation be different it the mall is in a quiet/modest suburb vs the 'hood type area.

Around here, if the establishment advertises in the local sports page with the slogan "Nice Chinese Girls," you can probably bet the ranch on a "happy ending."

According to my sister, who's in law enforcement, most of them are "fronts" for illegal operations from prostitution to intelligence gathering.

To answer the original question; I don't see many "Tug and Rub's" in the 'burbs per se. I do see a lot of Day Spas for which a $250 avocado mask doesn't sound too appealing. I do know some friends who get enjoyment out of these "bonus packages." They go to some pretty shady parts of town to receive them. Which is pretty much describes my neighborhood anyways.

I opt for the booty call method. The massages are average but the "endings" are free.

In my city, Massage Parlors advertising "Adult Entertainment" massage are pretty much legal, and you can reportedly get prety much anything you desire, as opposed to just a hand job. The way the law works is, it's illegal to proposition for sex in public areas, but fine behind closed doors. So, these places have workers that are licenesed to be escorts, and once behind the closed door of the massge room, you can negotiate pretty much anything. We have ads in the papers for places offering stuff like domination and tranies. The only ones raided are non-licensed establishments, which kind of sets up a "City as pimp" arguement for sex workers.

That's what I've been told/read anyways. I actually haven't partaken. Not for any moral reason, but I'm to0 cheap. $100 well buy me too many DVD's.

Thanks for the input. I found it odd, that folks who hand out licenses to do business dont think twice or start to question anyone wanting to set up 1) a massage parlor 2) one named Tokyo Rose. To me both of those together scream something is not going to be on the up and up (except for of course the patrons of the establishment :b) Cheers.

Yeah, cause that did wonders to keep the hookers off the streets in Las Vegas, where prostitution is illegal. They all flock to the legal places instead.

This is the hypocrasy of these laws. It's legal to be a licenesed escort, which is protitution. If you are picked up for hooking on the streets, you can not get a license to be an escort. So the program to get hookers off the street doesn't apply to a large margin of the actual hookers.
