Can anyone confirm whether the newly released DVD of this film (the one starring Rob Lowe and Meg Tilley) is anamorphic? The listings at the various etailers are inconsistent, and the box itself doesn't have MGM's usual logo that tells you whether the disc is enhanced for 16:9. Thanks!

    Michael,
I have the disc, however, I haven't watch it yet, but the box does say anamorphic. When I get a chance today, I'll pop it in and verify whether it's so or not.

    Hi Michael -

Last week's release of "Masquerade" is definitely anamorphic / 16x9 enhanced. It's a shame they didn't bother to throw in a trailer - I'd have paid a couple of dollars extra for that. I think in some cases the studios are trying too hard to hit a certain price point at the expense of content.

But I guess we can enjoy what we have for now. It's a decent transfer, and the terrific John Barry score sounds good as well.

    Take it easy,

    Chip

I crossed my fingers and left it in my latest DVD Empire order. Should get here in a day or two. Thanks, Chip, for letting me know I made the right guess!
