It totally seemed like there was a scene (or at least a sequence) missing before the "big reveal" that Maximus had full knowledge/suspicion of the plot against him. There was a jarring jump right to "gotcha!"

Exactly. Either it got butchered in the editing room or the writer/ director just stopped caring.

How many of you are willing to spend $15 to see a couple of TV episodes on the (very) big screen a few weeks earlier than they appear on TV even if they are extended?
They weren't even extended in the theater. It was the TV airings that were extended. Ironic, no?

I have now seen the first two episodes and it's not good. I don't care for the characters and the whole thing just feels cheap and rushed to me.

Kevin Feige had a great response to a question about his feelings on how Marvel Studios could have handled The Inhumans compared to how Marvel Television's "quick and cheap" (a quote from one of the directors on what the television division wanted, thanks Ike) approach has butchered it.
Speaking of quick and cheap, was anyone else bothered by the fact that while on the moon everyone walked around as if in Earth's gravity rather than the moon's. Maybe this was explained somewhere and I missed it, but it's one of the little things that bugged the heck out of me.

It also bothered me that Attilan had blue skies and clouds.

There was a ridiculous amount of inhuman technology inside that biodome, including holographic projectors for the skies and what can only be assumed to be artificial gravity assist.
