My biggest skepticism with this show is that you're pairing one of the least successful storylines from the episodes of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." I watched (the Inhumans) with the least successful showrunner of the Marvel/Netflix series (Scott Buck).

Maybe it'll surprise me, but those aren't great ingredients to be starting from.

Agreed.

Throw into that mix that it's a concept that Ike Perlmutter really wants to do, but that Kevin Feige really wanted no part of. Feige's instincts about translating Marvel comics to the screen have been pretty spot-on, so the fact that he didn't want it and was happy to eject it from the MCU lineup once he didn't have to report to Perlmutter suggests to me that there's not much "there" there.

Latest poster, featuring Attilan:

I've yet to see a single thing related to this series that's given me any confidence in its success.

Dang, I was hoping Attilan would be on the moon. Maybe they'll eventually relocate!

I think the trailer looks good. The look of the three main characters - Black Bolt, Medusa, and Maximus - is dead on. Happy to see Marvel found a place for this, even if it wasn't a feature film.

The trailer was really good. At least they are moving from the Moon, as noted by Neil, above!

I still think Medusa looks wrong. The hair is downright bad.

The plot seems to be interesting. Doesn't really matter: I'm a longtime Inhumans fan from the comics, so I'll be turning in no matter what.

Also: LOCKJAW!

The cinematography is top-notch, but the production design and costumes look like they're straight out of a 90s straight-to-syndication sci-fi show. As problematic as Scott Buck's "Iron Fist" was, it had much better production design.

Lockjaw's pretty awesome, though.

Looks like it could be decent, but I haven't been too excited about this project and the trailer hasn't changed that much.

I'll certainly watch this Fall, but I don't think I'll be going to the IMAX theater for the premier.

Hated the trailer. I don't think it's a Ramsey Bolton thing, but, I don't like the way he fills that role.

Not going to watch, so this'll be my only post. It seems like a waste to use Anson Mount in a basically non-speaking role. But, maybe conveying what needs to be conveyed without the benefit of dialog just means he's a good actor.

I think the new trailer makes the show look more interesting--at it really spells out the initial conflict. Medusa still looks dumb. Black Bolt's costume still looks dumb. Crystal looks awesome. Lockjaw is Lockjaw.

This is looking more and more like something I might check out at home for free, but not something that I'd want to pay the $26 IMAX 2D ticket fee to view on the big screen.

I'm intrigued, as I usually am, by the prospect for a new sci-fi/fantasy/comic show. That it's a "Marvel" show dampens me a bit, as broadcast TV work has been lesser than that of D.C. for my tastes.

I don't know anything about the Inhumans. I don't know if they "Mutants" but they can't say the "M" word due to copyright. But they seem to be from some other planet / dimension. One with giant puppy dogs. And that's ok. I like surprises. :)

And there's no way I'm paying $26 to see a Marvel show at the theater. Not in a universe where The Expanse premiere is shown theatrically for free, with Q&A with cast and crew!

I think there have been slightly different versions in different iterations of the comics, but they were introduced as a concept in Ages Of SHIELD and I expect that this new series will follow similar rules/histories/character traits.

Basically, in this telling of the story, an alien race called the Kree (of which the evil blue bad guy from Guardians Of The Galaxy was one) tampered with humanity in our prehistory and left some of their DNA inactive, so that a percentage of the population has alien DNA but no knowledge of it. When they come in contact with a particular mineral element, their powers are activated. I believe this upcoming show will be meant to follow Inhumans who had been living away from Earth, who are more closely related to the aliens that seeded them than the innocent bystanders the Inhumans usually were in SHIELD. (Innocent in the sense that they didn't know what they were or ask to be transformed.)

And there's no way I'm paying $26 to see a Marvel show at the theater. Not in a universe where The Expanse premiere is shown theatrically for free, with Q&A with cast and crew!

To be somewhat more fair, it's gonna be $26 for me because that's what my IMAX theater charges for 2D showings, which is what this will be. It'll be whatever your local IMAX theater charges for a normal admission.
