I don't see this title being announced on highfidelityreview.com and I don't remember this being a title already released by MK. Must be a upcoming release then. Anyway, saw MK's "Shangri-la" list as a upcoming title on sa-cd.net....

Edit: Yes, it's a new album and will be a day-and-date release in October. Also same situation with Elton John's upcoming "Peach Tree Road" album. So far, European releases only.

Hopefully they'll release some of his older solo catalog on SACD. I'd love to get a SACD copy of Golden Heart

Probably not going to happen in the US, it's a Warner title.

Interesting...hopefulyy Brian Moura will have a story on it soon.

I'd love any back catalog of Knopfler or Dire Straits.

Yes it probably won't happen here but ther "Brothers in Arms" XRCD2 import is every bit as good as many SACDs.

Actually, looking at his catalog - all of Mark Knopfler's CDs were Warner titles except 2 (Cal and Wag the Dog) which were Polygram.

All of Dire Stait's titles are owned by Warner as well.

    I guess we can wait for a DVD-A and/or HD-DVD release.

In the meantime, Sailing to Philadelphia and Golden Heart sound incredible on CD.

Even with Dire Straits, the above statement is true only in the US (Canada?). I believe for everywhere except the US, MK and DS is on a Philips-affiliated label. Remember Philips, then owner of Polygram Records, trying to launch DCC (Digital Compact Cassette) with DS during its last tour?

Definitey, I should've added "(in US/Canada)" as I've done in a previous post.

I saw that on HFR...that's great. I would like to get the original Dire Straits album and Brothers in Arms also.
