Does anyone know if these will be restored as they were (beautifully) for the first collection?

Well, Monkey Business isn't really a Marilyn Monroe movie (she has a small role in it), but I don't care, I'll just be happy to get it on dvd. I do hope it's available separately however, since I have no interest in the other titles.

I've only seen 2 of these movies

River of No return & Don't Bother to Knock. They where both stinkers IMHO. I love the Diamond Collection, but will pass on this set.

Niagra is good, trashy fun but the rest of these films (aside, perhaps from River of No Return, which I personally don't care for) aren't worth the price of the box set. I presume the titles will be available separately.

Well, I for one like "River of No Return" and Marilyn really could fill out a pair of bluejeans.[IMG]

    I love ]Niagra, primarily because
Marilyn plays a non-dingy woman in that one,
and really is good at deliberately driving a man insane.

Yeah, if Monkey Business is in that set then why not All About Eve. [IMG]
But I love Monkey Business, being the Cary Grant fan that I am.

Henry Hathaway's NIAGARA (1953) on DVD! Woo-hoo! An excellent color "film noir" thriller, with Marilyn at her sexiest (plus the added pleasure of Jean Peters), and thus well worth your time.

I too will pass on the set and perhaps pick up a couple of those separately. I'm sure it will appeal to more die-hard MM fans, but I'm not one of them. However, Fox is to be commended (again) for putting out the Diamond Collection in the first place...it is the ESSENTIAL MM stuff, that any casual fan (like me) will want on film, and putting out this 2nd box for the die-hard fans is a great follow-up. I just hope they don't expect the same sales numbers as the original set.

However, they did it right: put all the good stuff together in the first box set, rather than forcing us to pick everything up title-by-title. Thank you, Fox!

While I'm not a big MM fan, I'll be getting Monkey Business on release day! I'm a huge Cary Grant fan, and this is one I've been wanting for a while, mainly because I've not yet had a chance to see it all the way through. It's been on TCM several times in recent months, and I always miss part of it. Because of this frustration, this is one Cary Grant movie that has moved onto my must-have list. Now if they'd only release Bringing Up Baby, Gunga Din, and The Bachelor & the Bobby-Soxer.

Remember, Marily made about 30 movies but only had top billing on a handful in the mid 1950's, most of which were included with the first collection.
Personally I believe Niagra and River of No Return to be two of her better performances because they were dramatic rolls instead of comedy where she plays a dumb blonde. Has anyone watched the dark melodrama The Misfits that MGM put out? It was where Marilyn was heading as far as her career was going with parts.
I am still waiting for Warner to bring out the RKO movie Clash By Night and whomever owns the rights to the Marx Brother's comedy Love Happy where Marilyn had small rolls.
Columbia has Ladies of the Chorus where Marily had a bigger part and would love to see it on DVD soon!

If there is a bonus disc, it should cover the beginning of her career instead of the abysmal end.

Way to go Fox. I'll preorder as soon as available.
I Love Don't Bother to Knock and Niagra. River and Love are essentials.
I wonder if they'll release any of the other minor role MM movies they've released on VHS. Perhaps as double sets like Universal did with some of the horror sequals.
