Marantz x600 line (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know when we might see the SR8600 receiver from Marantz? I have the SR8200 and am looking to upgrade but the only two from the x600 line are the 5600 and 9600. The 9600 is three times the cost of the 8500. I don't want to buy the 8500 and get screwed.

Can a mod move this to the receiver page? Sorry.

12 months from the previous model's release. I'd expect late this year or early next year, since the 8500 was the last of the x500 line to be released.

I believe the last line of new models was intro'd at CEDIA in September 2004. I don't believe they showed any new receivers at this year's CEDIA, so I suspect the annoucements will come at CES in early Jan.
