Are these available in the US. I was looking online and I can not find any listings online for a US retailer carrying this brand. I am mostly looking for a recevier. Any help for places that carry this brand would be great.

Mike, Marantz started as a U.S. company back in 1949. Though it was sold in 1963 to Superscope and has since been sold to a number of large companies, Marantz has always been available in the U.S. Because Marantz still endeavors to project a "high-end" image, its availability online is limited. Go to the Marantz Website and click on the dealers link.

There is also www.accessories4less.com who carry factory refurbished Marantz units.

I have Cambridge Soundworks (hifi.com) stores locally, and I highly recommend them as well. Watch their site for sales around holidays, as you can get some very good deals.

I second accessories4less aka www.ac4l.com . They are about the best online dealers of anything I have ever dealt with.

I have a Marantz 7300 and I enjoy it very much. I think you will be very happy with one but you might have to drive a little to buy from a authorized dealer. As the others abouve said you can buy online and ac4l is a good one to buy from.

I'm sad that marantz offers more stuff in europe...

You can't buy a lot of units here, and you can't get the gold colored recievers either.

Yep. All Marantz DVD and CD players were reworked Phillips models in that period. I think the DV-8300 was the first 'independant' DVD player they made (and now they've linked with Denon).
