I just recently bought the Onkyo SR600. Overall I like the sound but it lackes the detail my old H/K had. I saw the SR6200 and SR7200 at my local HIFI shop. I can exchange my Onkyo for either one of these, the increase would only be $100 and $200 respetively. The questions are, am I going to notice a big difference in sound quality, And second is their a big difference between the SR6200 and SR7200. Thanks.

6200 and 7200 are very similar in terms of power. While they are rated at the same power, I believe the 7200 may have a slightly different power supply. There will essentially be no sound quality difference, most of the differences are in the features: Better remote, 12v triggers, dual room/dual source, to name a few. You should be able to hear a difference in sound quality from an SR600.

If you liked your old H/K, why not just get another H/K? Music wise, Marantz and H/K are very close, IMO, and both are at the top of my list for integrated receivers.

For only $100 more, it's worth it to get the 7200 for the improved remote alone. The other features are a bonus.
