I finally took the plunge into separates and no longer have a need for my Marantz SR-7000 5.1 dolby digital/dts receiver. I believe it's rated at 110 watts per channel. I've had it for about 3 years and is in perfect working order and condition. Will come with original remote and manual. Asking $350 for it. Paid $900 for it new. Please email me at [email protected] if interested. Great deal for a very, very good dd/dts receiver.

I believe that its rated at 100 wpc.

I have a friend that may be interested...One question though...I read some where that this receiver didn't seem to have very much power. Like when watching movies, you have to turn it almost all the way up, did you ever encounter anything like that?

I will let you know what my friend decides.
Thanks,
-Nate

Nathan, I have never had to turn the volume up over -10db. A that volume, a movie or music track was very loud, but tolerable. I usually would watch a dd or dts movie at -15db. I ran the receiver through Klipsch Reference speakers in a 14'x20' room. I don't think your friend would have any trouble with this receiver not being "loud" enough. I tried listening to a soundtrack at 0db and could not. It was simply too loud to tolerate.

Thanks.

I have the same receiver and am very happy with it. It's excellent value for money IMO. The programmable remote is very nice, and I do not believe you would have a power problem whatsoever.
