I recently purchased a DVD Audio player, the Toshiba SD9200, and I was trying to hook up the analog outputs to listen to DVD Audio, but I'm not getting any sound out of the center, surround channels or sub, as if the Direct In EXT inputs on the SR19 are apparently not working. I know I have the 6 CH EXT showing marked indicating for CD and have the left and right analog inputs all hooked up correctly on the Marantz. Everything is good for Analog 6 channel for the Toshiba...........I'm at a loss, is there something missing here with the Marantz? Why isn't the Marantz recognizing the signals? Any help would be appreciated. I'm getting left and right stereo just fine, just not other channels are being output while in DVD Audio mode.

Are you saying that you only have the right and left channel analogs hooked to the receiver from the DVD-A player? If so, that is the reason you are only getting stereo.

If you have 6 analog cables attached, then is there a format selection on the disc? Perhaps it is not a multi channel track? Do you have the receiver set to "stereo" or "source direct" (or Auto detect)? Is there a configuration for the Toshiba to send a downmixed signal?

You might try asking this in the A/V source forum instead.

Thanks for responding. As far as having the analog connections, they are all connected, the SR19 has the center, surround left, surround right, and sub as EXT inputs on the back. The left and right are also connected, albeit to the cd analog inputs. So, yes, they are all connected as they should be, as is the setup under the Toshiba 6 channel analog mode. As far as I know, Fleetwood Mac Rumors is a multichannel DVD Audio disc, any other thoughts?

The Rumors disc has both a DD stereo track and a DD5.1 track, so it sounds like you are picking up the stereo one, and not the 5.1. There has to be a way to force one or the other, or at least switch between them. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with your player.
