Marantz has announced a new PM6007 Integrated Amplifier ($599) and CD6007 CD Player ($449), both considered “entry-level” products and which boast performance-based features including the company’s current feedback amplification topology and “reference-quality” AK4490 DACs.
The PM6007 features a toroidal power transformer and delivers 45 watts per channel (8ohm, 20Hz-20kHz). The onboard current feedback amplifier tech with HDAM-SA3 circuitry provides wide bandwidth and dynamic range, according to Marantz. The integrated amp includes five analog inputs, one coaxial input and two optical digital inputs, as well as a moving magnet phono preamp and subwoofer output. As well as high-quality speaker terminals with A/B switching capability, the internal DAC is fully shielded, and copper assembly screws and rigid feet ensure durability.
