Hot on the heals of a similar announcement by sister brand Denon, Marantz has now confirmed the latest additions to its SR-Series line of AV receivers, the SR5015 ($1,099, available Sept. 15), SR6015 ($1,599, available Sept. 15), SR7015 ($2,299, available July 15), and SR8015 ($3,199, available August 15). All the receivers are 8K-ready and promise to deliver “audiophile-quality” sound.
“The new 2020 SR-Series AV receivers represent the next major step forward in home theater, not just for Marantz, but the entire home entertainment industry,” said Jake Mendel, global brand manager for Marantz. “Marantz fans will be some of the first to experience new levels of incredibly sharp image quality, remarkably fast gaming and immersive surround sound. But more importantly, superior Marantz HDAM-SA3 amplification based on decades of extensive tuning transports the listener ever closer to their music.”...

@Martin Dew Are these pre-processors or powered receivers? The link doesn't work and I can't find these listed on the Marantz product pages. (I'm watching for new pre-pro's) Thanks.

It is my understanding that the 8015 can do something my 8012 can not besides handle 8K video. It hear that the preamp and amp can be uncoupled so you do not end up getting distortion feedback through the system when you start pushing the receiver. I thought I was also hearing that there was issues with the new chipsets or am I incorrect? I love my 8012 and it broke the bank getting that one so not only is it to soon to upgrade but I honestly can not afford to spend that kind of money on another receiver just yet. I am seriously considering a pre/pro for the next upgrade.

Trying to get one of these receivers for over a month now with no luck. Best Buy, Crutchfield and B&H all have them Out of Stock, with no availability date listed.
:(
Raul,

Long time since we've heard from you. How are you doing?

I am also looking for a receiver. I am interested in one of these or a similar Denon. I was also very interested in the NAD T778, but reports of reliability and other quality control issues concerned me.

I’ve heard that besides the pandemic affecting the supply of these AVRs that one of the two factories that produces the chip used to extract audio from HDMI burned down.

I'm a big Denon and Marantz fan and love their new receivers. Everything a/v is in very limited supply and demand is high as many families are staying home and want to upgrade their home entrainment.
