Has anyone heard any other information about this player .
Given Marantz's track record, it should be a much better universal player than the Pioneer.

Craig, I've read that the '8300 will sell for about $2000 USD, which isn't bad when you consider the prices of Marantz's SACD players and the fact that the '8300 will be a universal player. I agree that the '8300 will probably be much better than the Pioneer universal player, but time will tell.
