I thought I'd repost this in the new specific section.

I'm having a "dot crawl" problem with my Marantz Dv-3100.

I'm looking at a NAD t-531 but I think they're the same player!

The remote is the same, the display, the back panel, even the onscreen menu.

So do they have the same parts inside? Are Marantz and NAD linked together?

    Thanks!

It's possible. Many past DVD players have been based around similar OEM platforms. For example, Yamaha, Denon and RCA have often used Panasonic platforms, while Onkyos used to be based on Toshiba platforms. Marantz players are often based on Philips platforms, and its possible NAD players are also (I believe some of Yamaha's newer models are also based around Philips machines).
