I just got off the phone with NAD. I bought a T-531dvd with the bug, but only showing up on very bright reds. I previously had a Marantz that showed the bug on just about everything. Marantz and NAD use the same platform by the way.

I wanted to ask their tech people about the problem and if it'll be resolved in any new models coming out. I talked to two of them, the first didn't know what the bug was and had never heard of the problems I described.

The second guy said the unit is probably fine but I could send it in anyway to be checked out and that it could be my tv(which is new). Maybe they really don't know of it and it's only my eyes, or they know it's there and don't want to admit it. Hmmm...

The 5-disc NAD T-571 DVD player does not have the bug, and produces an absolutely stellar picture. It is similar to the Marantz VC-5200, which also has a great picture - but NAD's upgrade of both the video and audio sections in their player make it the clear winner.
