Don't know where it came from, haven't even had a proper dinner yet. Is it true that the body sends specific cravings in response to a certain need? Calcium? Sugar..?

    ;0 D

Ok, update... Just went out and got one. DEF. hit the spot. One of the perks of living in NYC. Good diner REAL shake at 11:50pm on a sun. nite.

[IMG] Did I win the award for most random post of the nite yet...?

mmmm I want an omelette. Best one I ever had was from some diner in Northern NJ, right across from Manhattan.

I think Silver Diner stays open all hours of the night around here that has decent food, but I guess it doesn't count cause it's a chain. [IMG]

Hey Jimi, I was in Buffalo for a wedding a couple weeks ago. Fun town, went to Anchorbar for wings and was really impressed!

Hopefully when the 24 hour Steak and Shake opens next to our office in a month or so, we'll be able to get some decent shakes around the clock if need be. [IMG]

Buffalo, forget the shake. Wings (Duffs) , pizza (Bocce Club) and a pitcher of beer. Heaven......

I'm jonesing for some human flesh right about now. Don't know where it came from. I was just lying there dead for a few days and I guess I got some sort of vitamin deficiency or something. My legs are kinda messed up too. I'm having real trouble walking in anything other than a slow, lurching manner. I don't think we've got a 24 hour diner nearby, but the new crop of freshmen are settling in to the dorm up the road...

Ok, update... Just went out and got one. DEF. hit the spot. One of the perks of living in a college town. Good coed meat. REAL flesh at 9:30pm on a mon. nite.

24 hour diner near me also. Mines not in within walking distance.. but.. i don't think i would want to walk around at 4am looking for a shake anyways..

Bob.. Duffs is my health club.. Bocce club pizza is good but there is better around here.. i think the ratio of pizzerias to people in buffalo is 10:1. mmmmmm. the greasier the pizza the better.. I have yet to be able to find a decent pizza outside of western ny.

The problem, though, is finding a good salsa joint that's open this late.

If I'm up at 4 a.m, and at an ATM, I'm probably not "jonesing" for a shake.

I haven't tried shakes on my burgers, but I have dipped hot soft pretzels into chocolate shakes. It's better than it sounds.

And now that I think of it, I could really go for a chocolate shake too.

Being a person who is highly allergic to chocholate I find this disgusting....just kidding.
All I know is when I tell women that......they just feel so sorry for me they just wanted to make me feel better.
When I was 7 YO and became allergic I just wanted to end it right there.

I've been jonesing for some frigging great Northern-style cornbread for weeks. Warm, dripping with butter. I'm going to have to break down and make it myself.

    RE: chocolate shakes

If you have a Tully's coffee in your area, they make the best $6 shake I've ever had. Even better than Hagen Dazs.

Zen, there's a Tully's in Newport beach and one in Irvine. I know it's about 25 miles, but it's worth it. I don't doubt you can find an equal or better shake in LA/Long Beach, but I think the Tully's Chocolate shake is the best in Seattle.

One of the best milkshakes I've ever had was at this roadside place right in the middle of St. Helena in Napa Valley. I can't remember the name of the place but I remember that they had green tea milkshakes, plus fantastic burgers.
