Magnetic shielding for a box? (1 Viewer)

I'll be building a centre channel to sit on top of my TV. The drivers that I have are not shielded. I would like to simplify things and shield the enclosure itself. Are there any materials that I can use and where can I get them?

Thanks,

Raphael

You can buy bucking magents from PE or Madisound.

Line the interior of the box with sheet metal. That will block a lot of the magnetic field. Over time the sheet metal itself will become magnetized.

After the fact attempts at shielding aren't as effective as using factory shielded drivers.

The bucking magnet is about your only choice, it will effect your driver's T/S parameters though. So if you want to keep your calculations correct, you'll need a woofer tester.
