Well, I'm new to all this and have been trying to build a home theater. I have a Sony HTIB that is about 6 years old and is a piece of junk. I've slowly been upgrading and now it's time for speakers.

I have a HK AVR 630 receiver and was wondering if it would have enough juice for the MMG W and MMG C?

The Maggie MMGW and MMGC are 5 ohm speakers.From what I remember the AVR 630 is rated at 75 WPC@8 ohms.

You'll have to check either your owners book or HK to see if your reciever will handle 5ohm(4ohm) speakers.If the answer is yes,then you should have enough power to run the maggies.

Just as a guess,your reciever will be in the neighborhood of 125 WPC at 5 ohms.
