Reduced bit rate for Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks

P&S release only

Consecutive release of the same movie with added features. Limit it to two. A standard and a multi-disc, OAR, high bit-rate, kitchen sink version.

Snapper cases. You can't even use them under a spinning tire.

Repetition here but the more the merrier.
1. Inability to switch audio on the fly
2. Non-anamorphic releases, please, no more.
3. Spindles in dvd cases where you almost break the disc in half when trying to remove it.
4. Lack of support for widescreen releases from major retailers/rental chains.
5. Forced trailers. I like trailers but let me choose when to watch them.
6. Non-anamorphic trailers and extras.
7. Poorly placed layer changes.
8. Easter Eggs, quit hiding extra features.
9. Region Coding, we are living in a global society, make a great disc for everyone; anamorphic, widescreen, dts and Dolby Digital, etc.
10. Re-pressings, like with the Jurassic Park disc and it's dts lfe concerns. Make the new disc easily distinguishable from the old one, sku #'s, catalog #'s.

I'm new to the world of home theater, so I only have a few pet peeves so far.

1. Non-OAR releases

2. Snappers

3. Anything that can't be skipped

4. Center spindle thingys that are hard to manipulate in order to get your disc out

2. Non-anamorphic movies, including 1.66:1 ratio films

3. New cuts and new soundtracks, not including originals

4. Lack of older titles being released

5. Animated menus that get in the way of the movie

6. Re-releasing recent blockbusters, when thousands of films go unreleased.

7. FBI warnings, trailers and other crap that automatically plays when I insert a disk

8. Snapper Cases

9. Lack of audio switching on the fly

10. Regional coding in general
