I would really appreciate any reviews or feedback on this DVD. I haven't been able to locate any reviews. If you know of any sites that specialize in DVD music reviews. I would like to know about them. I think dvd and dvd-a are the future of the music industry, it's a shame that there is so little info on the web.
Thanks in advance & regards

The sound on the dvd is amazing! Although it's not listed on the back of the case, the concert is encoded with BOTH DTS and DD.
The show itself is basically what was showned on HBO, but it has been re-edited by Madonna and her camp, offering better camera angles, less shots of the audience and those damn annoying banners. There is one quick shot of an HBO Rocks banner, but other wise most of the on screen time is with the show itself.
The extras are limited in this release. We do get a photo gallery of Madonna's images from the past, along with english subtitles. What I was really hoping to see as an extra was the video montages from "Paradise" and "Music", but we are given the full anime film cut during the "What It Feels Like For A Girl" dance sequence.
My only peeve about the Drowned World Tour dvd is how soft the video image is. Too bad this wasn't shot in HD format. Madonna's "The Girlie Show" dvd is definitely a sharper image.
If you didn't get a chance too see the show live, don't miss viewing this dvd, especially the DTS mix. Just make sure you've got room to get your groove on.
When I say "PIMP", you say "HO".

Forgive me, but are you referring to the sound quality of the DTS mix with the numbers you've posted? I'm not quite sure, but I would like to know how you would find out that info.

I love Madonna and am very fond of the show, but I'm not wild about the DVD. It doesn't present the concert terribly well, and though the sound's consistently good, the picture's TERRIBLE! WAY too soft! It's still a must-have for Madonna obsessives like myself, but it's a big disappointment nonetheless.

Wow! What a review. I really enjoyed the show in D.C. and watching the dvd brings back the good time I had a the show. I wonder if Madonna would go back and re-release this dvd at a later time, with extra features and a better picture.

Hey, if other studios can do it, I would buy "Madonna-Drowned World Tour-Ultimate Edition".

Apparantly Madonna rehearsed the show at every venue and each rehearsal and show was recorded. So hopefully, she'll release a new dvd edition.
