I'm not surprised. Like they said, the GC has the ability to output more poly's and with higher-res textures than the PS2. Add in the fact that the GC is proving to be much easier to code for than the PS2, and I think we should be seeing a superior version of Madden on the GC when it comes out.

Maybe next year but I'm getting Madden for the PS2 because it will be out so much earlier.
I'll end up picking up the GameCube but I can't wait for it to come out to get my Madden fix.
Just because GameCube's might be better, doesn't mean the PS2 version won't be awesome.
I'm still a little in the dark with GameCube's memory system. I heard EA had to scrap some franchise features because of the GC paultry memory card. It apparently uses the outdated "block" system.

Madden Shmadden, I'll be playing NFL2K2 on my Dreamcast.
You PS2 folks who haven't played SEGA Sports NFL2K series will be in for a treat when the series is releasesd on the PS2.

What Dean Said...
I have to admit though, that the ability to move players from EA's NCAA Football to Madden sounds cool...

I own every system and I own both Madden on PS2 and Sega NFL2k1.
They are both great games but Madden on PS2 is in a league of its own.
NFL2K1 seemed like you were playing every game at the same stadium. The playbooks were lacking, etc.
I'll take Madden on the PS2 everytime.
