This just came out 3 weeks ago but target has it on clearance.
I've seen it for $45 and $63 at 2 different target this week.
My wife bought it for my birthday last week so I expected to go in and get the difference in refund.
No go.
Target doesnt refund the difference on clearance items.
You have to buy another copy then return that copy with the full price receipt.
This target has it for $45
Problem is they didnt have any more in stock.
So they gave me a list of other close by targets that have it in stock.
Now some of you might think i'm nutty but $45 is $45.
I drive over to the next store and buy the $63 madden.
While I was buying it I asked the man who rang me up,
what the deal was with clearance items and not being able to get the difference back.
He said the only option is to buy another one and return that with the higher receipt,
and I told him that was what I was about to do.
So I have this $62 one intending
to return it to the other target and rebuy it for $45.
They wouldn't let me rebuy it.
The returns person tells me that no one can buy it until
it is returned to the "floor" (put back on the shelf).
My simple question is what needs to be done to make that happen.
"someone in the game section needs to come up and and put it back on the floor"
So I go to the game section and explain to that guy what I was told up front.
He calls the front then tells me he'll be right back.
He returns with the front manager.
She tells me that someone needs to come to the returns area and take the game to the floor.
again I ask, how do we make this happen.
She says "i cant make that happen right now, that person is working
Somewhere in the store on a project."
"oh so only one person can do this?"
"no there are more people who do this but all of them are on projects."
Me, "So you won't have someone walk over to the cart take the game out and put it back on the shelf so i can buy it?"
"No i'm not going to move someone from their project just to take a game from the cart up front and put it on the shelf."
"ok, you as the front manager can't do it?"
"Nope."
So I tried to ask her if she could clue me in to when this might actually happen, but she actually turned away from me and completely ignored me.
oh well.
So i just went back this morning and there it was on the shelf so i bought it for $45
I still have the receipt for the $62 madden, i took this one i just bought and returned it with the $62 receipt.
All that just so i could buy the game for $45 instead of $90.
