Well, I just upgraded to Mac OS X version 10.1 to be exact and I never thought I'd start liking this system so fast.
In the past with Mac OS 10.0.x, it was sluggish, not feature laden, and not really smooth.
Now, I'm finding that the only thing holding me back from never booting into mac OS 9.x directly is the short-term lack of support for Mac OS X from DTP apps and other 3rd party drivers.
Other than that, I'm really liking this new OS.

Thoughts:
+No crashes as opposed to 1 every few months.
+ Great price at $69 edu allowed me to sell my old license and get a fresh 10.1, 9.2.1, and Dev Tools discs for free essentially(and quickly)
+ Much improved over 10.0.4 in every single aspect.
+ SPDIF output enabled audio card drivers available.
+ DVD player works great(and is region free).
+Epson claims they'll have drivers for my Stylus Photo 780 by the end of the month
+ Omni Web 4.1 is fantastic
+ Free Word X demo
+ Can still use Classic w/ my Sys 9.1folder for my older scanner driver that is incompatible with 9.2.1
+ Super fast scrolling and normal speed for resizing now
+ Scroll wheel works as it should
+ No drivers for my Trackball, but generic driver still gives me two button support and scroll wheel use
+Supports my 24X burner
-Epson still doesn't have my drivers
-Acer still doesn't have scanner drivers(vuescan will work, but that's $40 for a once a month use)
-DVD Player hasn't been enabled for digital-out other than DPL/DPLII
-DVD Player doesn't have overlay controls
-No Realplayer w/o classic, No WMP w/o classic
-Still waiting for the next release of iCab
-Still no USB Overdrive app for X
