I have an opportunity to acquire this center channel at a great deal. I'm no longer content with the entry-level center that I seem to have outgrown. I'm hesitant to make the purchase because its spec sheet indicates its rated at four ohms. My other loudspeakers are 8-ohm. Although I can't articulate why, I suspect this arrangement will reak havoc on my Yammy 5790. Is my suspicion founded?

After reading a quick tutorial on impedance I imagine matching low & high impedance components would be kinda like trying to power automobile headlights (low-impedance load) with 12v of AA batteries (high-impedance source)? I would further imagine the alkaline's would be destroyed by the attempt at rapid discharge. Would the amplifier section of my receiver be equally overwhelmed by the center channel's request for more low-impedance power than it can provide? Would the receiver overheat?
