Luigi question - Gameboy Horror (1 Viewer)

When looking at the map in the Gameboy Horror I see that some rooms are yellow and some are blue. What is the difference? As far as I know I have cleared these rooms (including Boos).

I just had to chime in and say that calling it the GameBoy Horror is to me the most brillant thing in Luigi's Mansion, and I think LM is a 4 star title.

As far as I can tell, the different colored rooms indicate the different "level" that they are on. Every "level" has a bunch of rooms (possibly scattered throughout the mansion) that you must clear out and a final room with a major boss. As you defeat the bosses, the color of the cleared rooms change.
