When the heck was this announced? I must have been away. I even made a petition about it (can't find the thread now since the search function is overloaded). Anyway, I'm glad it will finally be released next week, and there's already a review:

Isn't Lucas the movie where the little kid gets put into the big football game all heroically and then gets ripped in half and his still beating heart is stepped on when he's tackled by the bigger guys?

Ooops, sorry, i'm thinking of Not Another Teen Movie.

I love Lucas, i'll pick this up for sure.

Just watched it tonight.

At the end, when Lucas talks about the locusts being back in 17 years, and he asks Maggie if they'll still know each other in 17 years, I realized that it's been exactly 17 years since the movie's release. Has it really been that long? Boy, I'm gettin' old!
