    Hello,
Does anyone know where I can get some LP display cases. I want the ones that look like giant picture frames. I am redoing my basement, i.e. music room and am looking for these to compliment the room. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chris

I've seen them at Michaels Craft Stores in the framing department. There is a good place to start.

I have a couple dozen framed albums (usually records that influenced me, or projects I worked on directly)...
There are several places to buy online. I would suggest getting the steel framed plexiglass ones, some paces also sell these crappy all plexi "frameless" ones that are like an inch deep and suck.
I used to buy from these guys:
    http://www.albumframes.com/
I have bought them by the case from them- you get 3 in a pack for about $40. They include shipping if you buy a case (8 packs of 3: 24 frames).
I have more recently purchased the same/similar frames from Restoration Hardware- also about $13 a pop (come in a package of 2 for $26). You can order via their catalog, or on their website. These frames are very similar to the albumframe brand listed above...
I have shopped around and found these, but never bought from:
http://www.frameguy.com (seems to be a reseller of albumframes.com, and more expensive at $15 each plus ship)
https://www.sharpgifts.com (seems to also be a reseller of albumframes.com)
http://www.frameyourmusic.com (has many different nice finishes- their frames are 21x21 so that the record is matted, but they're like $50-75 each! They also have a neat side-by-side frame for sleeve and record- but they're $150! These guys are great if you have 2-3 valuable records [like autographed] that you want to display in a formal decor setting- but if you're looking to frame a half dozen or more for a listening room- the standard black from albumframes.com or restoration hardware are better...)
You can also find a wealth of links here related to record collecting and display:

Sometimes TARGET stores will carry some as well- but they usually just get a batch at random times, so I've never had any specific luck shopping for them- I sometimes just find them there in the frame area...

Michael's has been running them latetly in their ad's about 50% so look for them there...I have several of their and they are great.

Also, if can't find them there on sale, they typically have a 50% coupon in the Sunday papers...get several, go in at seperate times, and buy till your heart's content. (Also, you can ask the clerk for the coupons, they usually have extra's at the front of the store at POS.)
