That's an excellent article by Lou about the Philo Vance collection. Very informative overview of the entire series.
And I second the motion for a TCM Vault collection of the Universal properties.

Thanks for the article. I have always been a Webb fan, particularly of his comedic and lighter roles but also of his work in a film like Titanic. I too have noticed that we now have 3 Webb films in blu ray. I keep hoping for a Webb blu set or sets like that done for Kazan.

I'll second that. But add in Woman's World; a star-studded CinemaScope spectacular that needs to be saved from going to the hell of FCA's P&S MOD discs. The Man Who Never Was and The Razor's Edge would be quite welcome as well.

I also noticed the significant upswing of Clifton Webb material both on blu-ray and MOD (yet no Sitting Pretty. WHY?). The MODs also are some of the better looking releases they've had for the most part. I hope to see more.

Per the latest column MGM has leased some films to TGG Direct as MOD double features. No titles listed in column. A check at Amazon found some examples.

Can anyone confirm if that release of Hawaii is different than the old MGM release? The description starts with "This restored film version..." which makes me wonder if it is uncut or at least more uncut that the previous DVD.
