Or possibly Best Buy. They seem to put out all "new release" CD's at $9.99 recently.

Definitely stay away from FYE. Last year I went there looking for TTT soundtrack and nearly dropped dead on the spot when I saw they were asking $21.99 for the standard jewel case release. Once I recovered, I went over to Best Buy and picked it up for $13.99.

There were rumors more than a year ago that the FotR soundtrack was being prepped for one of the high-res formats (I think it was DVD-A, actually), but I haven't heard anything since.

12/9 there is a limited edition with a bonus DVD on the scoring. There's also a 3 CD set for the entire series (though I think it's just a box of the 3 discs and no extra tracks).
