This is my first post at the site I was just wondering is there any significant lose of video/audio quality using a video (S-Video) switcher? Thanks for your help.

I have all my video sources running through my receiver using SVideo and the receiver acts like a switch. My DVD player has dual SVideo outputs so one day I hooked both up: one feed direct and one through the receiver. I did not notice any difference on my 50" RPTV switching back and forth.

I did not drag out some of the test patterns on say Avia or Video Essentials which might have been a better test.
