It seems that JVC has a deal with new line cinema's, and are the official electronics provider of The Lord of the Rings (as ridiculous as that sounds). Anyways, over at the New Line LOTR shop they're selling a JVC DVD player for about 110 bucks. Why is this noteworthy? Because it comes with a 17 minute behind the scenes preview dvd of LOTR.
Now, who's gonna go buy it and fill us all in on the goods? I'd buy it myself, but I just got a new dvd player, and they don't ship to Canada, so my hopes are quashed. Say, anyone feel like buying a dvd player and then sending me the dvd? [IMG]
Anyways, anyone who gets this thing, please please post some details.

Normally $110?? Canadian, right? Because THEONERING.NET says that it is a $250 item going for $199.95 through the NL Cinema store. But, Good Lord (forgive the pun), there's already an eBay auction for this player with the LOTR bonuses going for an open bid of $225!!! No bidders yet, though. [IMG]

Did you want us to respect your cause? You just damned your cause.
Did you want to make us fear? You just steeled our resolve.
Did you want to tear us apart? You just brought us together.

I had been wondering about that price. The other day when I checked it was 109.99 which I thought was amazingly cheap. I'm guessing someone goofed when updating the page and mis typed the price. It's corrected now. Too bad, 109 was a sweet price [IMG]

I'd possibly buy the DVD if they made it availiable seperately... but not an entire player (which is most likely a normal model in a LotR box.)

If only the player was black so that it would match the rest of my equipment. I would seriously consider getting this. I need a second player but have been waiting for the record feature or the DVD audio play back that isn't $1000. Which this player does none of.

How wrong would it be to buy the player and then return it because it didn't come with a disc?
