    Hello,

I'm trying to build a budget home theater and I need help picking a projector. I've narrowed my projector search down to 4 projectors, which are listed below. If anyone has any info/experience, I need any feedback I can get regarding these projectors. Pros? Cons? Which one should I buy?

    1. Viewsonic PJ458D
    2. Sharp XR-10X
    3. Optoma EP719
    4. Optoma DX605

Are you looking for HD or ED? I'll second the notion to consider the 4805. That also depends on what you consider "budget," but a 4805 is, IMO, just about as nice a projector you can get for the money. It's capable of displaying 480p, not 720p, but has excellent color reproduction and contrast levels. There are more players in the ballgame, but I'm more familiar with this model. You can buy it for $1,000 or less. I've seen used ones go for less than $700.

It does not have HDMI, but does have DVI.

I found a Sony Cineza HS10 at a sony outlet store for $1200. I wanted the power zoom feature and you can't find it for less than $3000. Other than that I would keep an eye on the price point between 800x600 and 1280x720. I think that is about $1600 right now.
