looking into DIY tube amp (1 Viewer)

I think i might yank the tubes out of my Ampeg VT 22 guitar amp and use them to build a 2 channel DIY tube amp. My dad has a dynaco DIY tube amp that sounds really good. Has anyone done a similar project? What other DIY amps should i look into? I dont know anything about vacuum tubes..would you have to modify the schematic since i will be using different tubes than the schematic calls for?

Since you haven't gotten any replies here, you might try posting in the tube section over at DIYAudio. There are tons of knowledgeable people over there that can direct you toward good circuits to build.
