I'm helping out a friend, he and his wife.
Well OK his wife, wants some ceiling speakers.
I am going to use a wireless transmitter(2.4Ghz).
And we don't want to run wires every where. There
are power sources close to where the speakers will be.
So that is not an issue.

Thank you all for any help!

The only one I know of is the Genelec AIW 26 and they clock in at $4200.00 a pair. Are you sure that you don't want to just run the wiring correctly and hide it? The Genelecs are a serious investment (but they sound very, very sweet).

    Phill,

I guess you know you will need two transmitters and receivers, right?

My friend and I are just exploring options right now.
It just seemed that having self powered ceiling speakers
would be easier. No there where no outlets up there, that
I know of.. We just figured that since that main box was
in line with the rafters to would be easier to run the power
than try to run speaker wire from the wall up and over ect...

We thought that we would try the reciever inside the rafter, and test it out. Either that or drill a small hole (
