Hey guys, two things. If anyone has any mint condition S38II's in black, or any new ones, or knows where I can get mint or new ones, then please let me know.

Also, I'm attempting the JBL "fix it yourself" program, but my speakers (S36IIPM) have a six point star shaped screw. I don't have the screwdriver to get these out, and I don't want to risk stripping the screws by trying something else, so does anyone know where I can get this screwdriver head? Thanks a lot on both things!

You can get that screwdriver at any hardware store...lowe's, home depot etc. It can come as a screwdriver or a drill bit. I think they are even just called "star" bits.

There is a set of JBL Studios (S-38's) for sale in this forum, at this link! JBL Studio speakers for sale

By the way, great choice in speakers! I have four S-38II's as front mains and side surrounds, an SII Center, and S36II's as back (7.1) surrounds. Rounded out by a SVS 20-39 PC+ this is a great sounding system, for music and HT both!!

I forgot what I used when I replaced my tweeter. I think I borrowed a small Torx set from my automotive buddy. (which is STAR shaped)
