Looking for new receiver reccomendations (1 Viewer)

I'm looking to get a new receiver in the 'as far below $500 as possible' price range.

My current main speaker configuration is Polk Audio RTi4's in both front and back with a PSW10 sub.

I'd like it to have DD5.1 and, if possible, DTS.

I'm interested hooking up speakers from two rooms to it so that I can watch a DVD in one room and listen to a different CD in another. I believe this is called a multi-room setup, is that correct? Is it possible to get a multi-room system in my price range?

Is it possible to get models from previous years at discounts? Would there be any problems getting a used one off eBay?

What brands/models would work for me?
