Howdy,
Not really sure where to start looking online so hopefully someone here can give me some info to start with. We are looking into adding some speakers in the various breaks areas we have at work so we can pipe in some background music. Speakers don't have to be anything fancy as this is just for background or theme music and not something that is going in someone's home theater system.
One main issue is whether or not these speakers are available that have built-in amps or if they are just standard speakers that need to connect to a separate amp.
We are thinking about using Barix devices to stream the music so we can control everything from a PC. They have units that have an Amp built in and some that don't. SO if we can get spakers that have their own amp and just use the standard red/white RCA connections, that means we can get the cheaper Barix unit. But if those speakers aren't available, then we can get normal speakers and the more expensive Barix unit with the built-in amp.
Anyhow, any info, suggestions, links, etc would be great.
At this point we don't care about brands at all and just want something basic that will work for our needs.
