I'm looking for an old/starter/inexpensive Dolby Digital 5.1 receiver. Doesn't matter what it looks like, or what brand. Just needs to work. Don't even need the remote if all functions can be done on the front panel.

My lodge just bought an RPTV and is putting together a "TV Room." They sponser the youth group I'm an advisor for, and they will let the boys use the room for "Movie Nights." I'm going to buy and donate a receiver, dvd player, and speakers, but can only afford to do it "on the cheap."

Thanks,
Dave

Hi,

I have a Yamaha HTR-5450 that I just got recently. In very very new condition. It meets your needs. Dolby digital, dts, 5 channel receiver. I'm looking to upgrade to a more powerful mid priced receiver. The face plate is silver (like those Sony silver TV's and DVD players). Comes with remote and original box. Asking $190 shipped (negotiable). Email me for pictures.

80wx5, all channels driven, 20-20khz, .06% THD

How about a Pioneer VSX-D411? 100W X5 @ 8 ohm, DD, DTS, 1 optical & 1 coaxial digital inputs, remote, original box, packing and manual.

$100.00 plus shipping.

Also have a set of 4 Optimus LX5 speakers (the ones with Linaeum tweeters) a matching Optimus center and a RCA sub (10" 60W) with 2 floor stands and 2 wall brackets.

$250.00 plus shipping for the set of 6 speakers.

$300.00 plus shipping buys the everything.

Edit: Oh Yea... A photo can be found here Pioneer - Optimus 5.1

I have an Aiwa AVR-57. It's Dolby Digital 5.1 and perfect working condition. Rated at 100x5. It has one optical and one digital input. Asking $68.00 plus shipping. Have the remote and all paperwork. May or may not have original box. Have not sold anything here before, but have 100 percent feedback on E-bay.

Thanks for the offers everybody. I'd love to put in a Yamaha or Denon, and the Pioneer with the Optimus speakers looks great, but I don't want to put anything too good, only to have it broken, and I have a really small budget for this project.

I haven't made my mind up yet and I'm keeping all options open.

Thanks again,
Dave

Looking to sell it for $60 plus shipping. It works and looks great and comes with the remote. A great receiver and the only reason that I'm selling it is because I just upgraded to the Kenwood 6070. I also have a Toshiba dvd player that I'm looking to sell for $60(not sure the model #) and is also in great shape, just upgraded to a Toshiba player that plays SADVD's. Also have 5 Kenwood satelites and a powered Awia sub that I'll throw in for $100 more plus shipping. If interested let me know.
