As per the title I'm looking for recommendations for a good quality power conditioner that won't break the bank. I would like to get something that is reliable and will do what it's intended to do for under $150.00. We lose power frequently and even though I have surge protectors in place I worry about damage to my equipment. It will need be able to handle up to 5 components. Thank you in advance.

A conditioner isn’t going to help. Their purpose is to clean up dirty power, which is not the same thing as intermittent power. Your best bet is to continue using quality surge protectors, and change them after a major event.

I knew power conditioners were for cleaning up "dirty power", but was also under the impression that they offered surge protection as well.

they do somewhat ... its not really the priority (which would be "cleaner" power to enhance audio and video quality) but they do have surge protection. I own an Audioquest Niagra 1200 for audio use only.
This one is about $ 250

from the NY TIMES - less pricey but still recommended options

Other leaders in power conditioning for high end systems: PS Audio, Shunyata, Iso Tek,

Anyone have any experience with Furman conditioners. Am considering getting this one https://furmanpower.com/product/conditioner-power-ht-20a-power-factor/
No direct experience with that particular unit, except to say Furman is a (if not the) premier brand in this category – they’ve been doing it longer than Monster and Panamax. I have a few of their units that I use with my pro audio equipment, and they’re solid pieces.

Of course unplugging everything is the logical thing to do even if not always practical to do.
