Looking for a ProgScan DVD player that plays both + and - DVDR (1 Viewer)

I am looking for a new name brand (universal remote code friendly) Progressive Scan DVD player under $80. that will play DVD- and DVD+R discs I have burnt.

My current Toshiba, Panasonic and Pioneer will play one and not the other!

I was recently shopping for a DVD player like you are currently looking for. I ended up buying a Samsung upconversion player for $99(couldn't pass it up). The one affordable single-disc model that fits your needs is the Philips DVP642. I found it using pricegrabber.com for $68.83 shipped to the door. Just do a search. Good luck!

Thanks, the Philips might be a good choice. I set one up a few years ago and hated it but perhaps they operate differently now.
