Go to shopping.yahoo.com and put in "sa-wm40" at the search prompt. Best price right now online is $131 plus shipping, which will run $173.90 at best. So if the price you quote above includes shipping, then indeed that's as good as it gets online. In store (at Best Buy for example), you will pay about $215 including sales tax.

Do you have a local K's Merchandise? They often have it for $130-$150. You could also do a DIY sub if you can find the elusive used SVS original driver for around $50 shipped and a 100 watt plate amp from parts express for $100. Surely you could build and paint a decent box all for under $200. That is if you have a drill and a circular saw. That's all you need if you are creative. That's all I used at least and it came out very nice. I really think that if you are patient and are willing to wait for some deals, you can DIY for much cheaper. If not, the Sony is a pretty decent performer. I'd reccomend it as I've listedned to it at the store and was reasonably impressed. A little boomy, but what do you expect for the money? Later.
