    Hi all,

I'm finally moving back to the US next month and want that big American size TV I've been missing out the last few years.
I'm not ready (financially) to move up to a plasma or LCD yet so I'd like to get some advice. I'm looking for the following:

    1. Widescreen
    2. DVI
    3. HD Receiver Built-in (Is this recommended??)
    4. Rear Projection
    6. 50h or more
    7. Upconvert to 720p/1080i

This is my first HDTV so I'd appreciate any other advice.
I'm looking to spend between $1000 to $2000. (Keeping around $1500 would be best)

I've searched a few threads and seen the following mentioned:
    Sony KP-57WS510/550
    Toshiba 42H83
    Panasonic PT-47WX49

    Would appreciate any help--Thanks!!

My only advise would be use the money you would spend on a TV with a built in HD receiver on upgrading the screen size. External HD receivers will eventually come down in price and you can rent an HD box for pennies a day until they do come down in price.

epinions.com is a good resource for shopping around.

Take a look at the Hitachi 57S500 or the 65S500 or 700. I bought the 65S700 and can't say enough about it. Great picture, plenty of inputs and outputs.
