Looking for a <$200 DVD player (1 Viewer)

I am a poor college student looking to upgrade from a Apex DVD player. The Apex works and has a digital coax out... that is about as far as I can go for its performance.
I have done some searching on here for a good thread but haven't found what I am looking for. I don't mind used equipment, but new is cool too. I'd like to keep it as far under $200 as possible. I would rather have a digi coax out than optical (due to not wanting to get a new interconnect).

I have noticed that wal-mart has a couple DVD players that look promising. They have a Sanyo unit and a Pioneer unit that are under $120 that have progressive scan out and component video outs. Not that I can actually take advantage of that, since I have an older TV that has Svideo as the best video input and it is way not progressive scan capable.

Any suggestions would be very much apprecieated. I wouldn't be offended if you linked me to the proper threads for this so you don't have to repeat yourselfs if this has infact been covered to death.

I also wanted to add something. It the audio has a tendency to lose sync with the video from time to time. There is also a skip in the audio signal once in a while that really bugs the heck out of me. It is like it is going to the next track, but it happens in the middle of tracks and not in the same place each time, so I am sure it isn't dust or a scratch. It happens on all of my DVDs as well. I am almost 100% positive it is from the DVD player. Anyone know what the cause is?

Hey, Sony makes a player that would be good for you. The DVP-NS715P is a nice player. It is on sale at Crutchfield.com for 149 dollars. It is progressive scan, plays cds, mp3s, dvd. It has a digital coax and optical, component, s-video, composite. I am brand new to this site and pretty new to HT, but my father has this player, and it looks great. Should be much nicer than your apex. Hope that was some help.
