    I have a question.

If you don’t have an AppleTV, how are people watching these digital movies on their TV?

No @andySu , it's just you. Continue with this Laserdisk is better than digital in every thread and we'll have to start deleting posts. Don't make us do that.

I am going to let someone more qualified than me to answer this question. I know there are several other apps that let you download digital movies to it including Vudu, Movies Anywhere and Fandango.

Apple TV is slowly being introduced in an "app" only version in current LG displays. I am certain the app will continue to appear on other displays at some point. I am surprised Apple allowed an "app-only" version as it negates someone from having to buy the hardware.

Yup @Ronald Epstein nailed it. There's an AppleTV app for Roku and Amazon Fire devices too.

Laserdisk? Seriously? Is this claim actually being made? I was all in on Laserdisk, but it has been surpassed multiple times, in every conceivable way. C’mon. I dug out my LD player a while back and spun up a couple discs. My jaw dropped at how awful it looks. The player went back into storage.

Sorry for the aside, but some things...

LG TVs now have aTV app

And also: Buy digital move. It’s synced to your Movies Anywhere account. Watch on any device with MA app.

*Exceptions include Lionsgate, Paramount and MGM - those studios do not participate in Movies Anywhere so purchases of titles from them remain only in the storefront where you purchased.

Yep. Lack of consolidation is annoying. But total consolidation is also problematic. Wish they could sort this out to enable the customers to enjoy their purchases.

There’s that point in time when you’ve only seen a couple posts and want to give the benefit of the doubt...

    That time has passed.

I bought a 2019 model last week, so that's how I got it.
