i have 12" Rogers Subwoofer..the spec said it is long throw bla bla...what does long throw means???

Long throw refers to the excursion of the woofer - the distance the cone can travel before it "bottoms out" or reaches its maximum extension. The longer the throw, the more air the driver can move and the louder it can go (all other things being equal).
