Hey all, this being the 27th anniversary of the infamous Winterland show of the Darkness tour (for my money one of the best rock tours of my lifetime) I wanted to post perhaps my fave performance by Bruce. He was on fire for most of these shows and at this particular show he raises Prove It All Night to absolutely divine status. In my opinion, he has never been better than on this song which gives me chills every time I hear it. I still am bummed that he shortened future versions on subsequent tours. Bruce is channeling some sort of musical demon, leading the E-Street band to an ever increasing frenzy during this 12-13 minute version. This is from a radio broadcast and is available on various boots on many BT sites if you know where to look.

So check this out (I hope it works)

I couldn't agree more. I saw him when he was doing these marathon versions of the song, and was upset it never found its way onto an official release.

So why do you call it "infamous"?
