Logitech Keyboard K400-Plus with Pioneer VSX-1021-K Rev/Amp (1 Viewer)

I just bought the K400-Plus keyboard hoping to use it to make entry of data such as title search easier. I can make this feature work with the dongle plugged into my (brand new) Samsung TV, but it then seems to be controlling sound from the TV. IOW, I now thinking the KB is designed to work with sound-bar technology rather that full fledged surround sound systems.

Can someone here confirm or deny my suspicions?
