Could there be a new Logitech remote? Magic 8 Ball says "Possible"

Personally, I think their next foray should be in voice command remotes.

Meanwhile, the Elite is still Logitech's best remote out there.

I would look on Amazon before purchasing from Logitech directly. You can also read the latest reviews from those who purchased it.

Let us know how you made out.

Small price drop today to $279. I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

Does anyone know how compatible this remote is with the Pioneer Elite SC-67?

    Greggor,

It should be compatible. All you would need to do is to enter the manufacturer and model number into the programming setup to have all the codes ported over.

I'm loving this device. It works well. They must have addressed the PS3 issue. So far it stays paired and turns the console on and off.

Just wanted to post an update -- this is no longer true. I don't know if PS3 did a firmware update, or if Harmony found a workaround. But my Harmony Elite powers the PS3 on and off.

Glad I come across this thread. I have been upgrading a few things in the HT area and the old, old, old remote is on the list for replacement. This looks awesome and will be picking one up. I see Amazon has them bundled with the Dot for $297. I have never used their software and hopes is very intuitive.

Anyone know if it works with the new Oppo 203? Or older Oppo, I think their codes are probably the same.

It works fine with my older Oppo.

Hank, you will love this remote. And, yes, as Sam just stated, it should work with any Oppo.

It's good to have the physical remote permanently stationed in its nearby cradle, but frankly I've been using the smartphone app almost exclusively lately. It's always with me, and it is well designed and handy.

But you have to have that Hub that comes with the Elite remote -- it's currently shown as unavailable on Amazon in the separate purchase bundles.

    Race,

I am not looking at the bundles, so I am not certain what you are referring to.

However, unless things have changed -- and I don't believe they have -- the Elite remote comes with the hub.

It does come with the Hub. I'm talking about the ability to buy the Hub without the remote.

    Here's a hub-only: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Harmony-Smartphone-Entertainment-Automation/dp/B00N3RFC4Q/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1483561629&sr=1-2&keywords=logitech+hub

I saw some other bundles with just the Hub and some smart home switches, an Echo dot, etc.

Well I got tired of having 5 remotes and trying to keep track of them so I purchased an Elite/Echo Dot bundle. The bundle with the Dot is $3 more than the remote, can't go wrong there. I just got a Samsung 8500 Ultra bluray player yesterday from my father out of the blue so it's a good week for electronics for me!

Looking forward to playing around with this remote. Might force me to rearrange my equipment a little better.

I wish I had gotten an Echo Dot bundle. I don't think it existed at the time I pulled the trigger.

I'm not sure I've ever run across a Harmony customer who hasn't been happy with their remote. Congrats on your purchase!

I just installed a new player into my HT. Whenever I do something like that it prompts me to do a little housecleaning. Not just the kind where I pull the gear cabinet out into the room and clean up all the dust and dog hair which likes to gather underneath and inside the cabinet...but also to dive into the Logitech software and upgrade and tweak a few settings. It reminds me of how terrific the Logitech experience is...easy, comprehensive, etc.

I had a question about the 15 device limit? Can things be coupled together and considered one device? I doubt it works affect me, but I was still curious. I have like 6 devices now. If I had a Nest thermostat, and a Wi-Fi lock on the door, that'd be 8 devices. If I wanted to get fancy and control wifi light bulbs, it seems like I'd want more than 7. This is all in theory because I don't have any kind of room where I'd do all of this, but I was wondering how the limit worked.

I do not have an authoritative answer, but I think the smart home things have a hub of their own that counts as one device.
