I think you may have hit on a solution here, John, thanks! It had never occurred to me. I'll give it a shot today and let you know if it solves the problem. This has been going on for months in my HT.

BTW, I suddenly remembered why I set the ATV to not shut off. It doesn’t wake up fast enough for the receiver, which then won’t switch to its input.
